Paying yacht crew promptly an efficiently can be time consuming and takes up valuable resources of owners, captains and yacht managers. The Döhle Payroll Service will help ensure that these resources are used for their prime purposes and not dissipated by unnecessary administration.
It is also a reassurance to the crew to know that their salaries will be paid promptly and regularly.
Payment can be made in US Dollars, Euro or Sterling and will be monthly by SWIFT Transfer or BACS (depending on country) the Captain and/or owner will be notified of payments by email.
The jurisdiction from which the crew are employed and paid from is important. From May 2010 new EU regulations will affect both the crew and the employing company. All yacht crew who are employed by an EU based company will be liable to social security payments. The employing company, if EU based, will also be liable to Secondary Class 1 contributions.
The result; less income for the crew and more expense for the employer.
